After confirming a clustering of cases, Taguig is placing a home address in Barangay Katuparan under Localized Quarantine from August 19 until September 2, based on the recommendation of the Safe City Task Force.

The City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit reported on the cluster of COVID-19 cases in the Katuparan household last August 17.

The unit reported that 20 members of the household tested positive, further noting that the topography around the residence and the living situation of the family can place more people at risk.

Because of all these, they recommended an immediate lockdown. With the declaration of the localized lockdown, no one will be allowed into or out of the Katuparan address.

Additional security measures will be enforced.

However, the individuals will receive social and economic support from the city.

Personnel will also be on high alert for any emergency concerns.

The City will take all the necessary steps to both support the needs of the household under lockdown and secure the rest of the neighborhood from an outbreak.
