MECQ to give Medical Frontliners Timeout

Last Updated on August 03, 2020 01:44 PM

Heeding the call of medical workers for a timeout, Taguig City and the rest of Metro Manila will transition into the modified enhanced community quarantine at 12 midnight on Tuesday. Past MECQ rules will apply with some modifications. The MECQ will mean the temporary closure of some businesses, with the specifics to be released within the day.

In a show of solidarity to medical frontliners and in response to the President Duterte’s call, some establishments in Taguig have signified to voluntarily close and offer work-from-home arrangements for 14 days or two weeks. Businesses offering essentials goods and services will remain open.

The city will also provide 24/7 support for those who have queries.
Thank you for your support.

We will get through this with malasakit and bayanihan!
