Interventions of Taguig’s Safe City in the Temporary Closure of Taguig Hall of Justice
To address the health and safety of their staff and the general public, the Taguig Hall of Justice announced earlier today that all its courts and offices will be temporarily closed from June 25 to July 9 after members of the judiciary and several court employees reported possible exposure of several of their colleagues to a positive case. Court operations and other services will continue online.
Attached is the memorandum issued by the Office of the Executive Judges of the Taguig Hall of Justice dated June 25, 2020.
The City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit and Safe City Task Force will guide the courts in enforcing safety protocols and will conduct swab tests on judges and employees, including security guards. Furthermore, in line with Supreme Court protocols, all the staff will undergo self-quarantine during the closure.
Taguig City will make sure that the needed support and assistance will be provided to enable the courts to better manage any COVID-19 cases and prevent an outbreak. We thank them for welcoming our effort.
We will continue to work to ensure that Taguig remains a safe place to live and do business in.
